Somatic Awareness: "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee"

Conversations don’t just happen in our heads. They happen in our bodies. This session uses movement and reflection to explore how nervous system regulation affects listening, boundaries, and response.

Breath shortens. Shoulders rise. Your body reacts before you’ve decided how to respond.

Using no-contact shadow boxing, yoga sculpt, and breathwork, participants will move through cycles of intensity and stillness. These practices are not about fitness or performance. They are about information. Each modality becomes a way to notice how your nervous system responds under pressure and how that response shapes your ability to listen, set boundaries, and engage intentionally with others.

Why movement? Because conversations don’t just happen in our heads. They happen in bodies.

When you understand how your nervous system works, you’re better able to:

  • breathe instead of brace
  • notice triggers before they take over
  • protect your body without shutting down
  • respond instead of react

This session involves movement and reflection. Wear clothes you can move in, bring a water bottle, and a yoga mat if you have one.

Some moments float. Some moments sting. All of it is intentional.
